We at Aquinas go to Hays because it is a fun trip, a well run tournament and we also get to see teams we would not otherwise see. Phillipsburg, Hoisington, Goodland, Ulysses, Hugoton, Riley County, Russell, Oakley, and the other 1-3A and 4A schools are teams we otherwise would never see. They have tough kids who bring it on the mat, and that is fun for us.
Example: Last year (2012) Oakley had an absolute stud at 160 that we did not know, and he dominated. I forgot the young man's name, but would not have seen him otherwise.

Tom Williams

You're talking about Eric Albers, a stud indeed. And, on that note, one of the most polite young men I had the pleasure of watching wrestle this past March at Rocky Mountain Nationals.

Yes, I noticed Chief. That's rich.
I must admit that I was relishing with the thought of you struggling over those fantasy results.

How did 5 of the top 5A kids at 285 make the list. But the 3rd place finisher in 5A did not crack the top 10? 4th, 5th and 6th place made the top 10, but not 3rd. Hmmmm.

How does Joey Defore not rank at least 7? He beat #8 head to head last match, and it was good enough criteria in the middle of the season.

Ellis at 145 pinned Fiscus, and beat Kennedy twice by dec. Yet you don't have him ranked above them. I don't see the logic in that.

I agree. McGrew finished 3rd but Sander beat him all three times they wrestled during the season. Sander split with Lee, winning in the 5th place match at State and losing in Regional finals. McGrew did beat Lee twice once at Newton TOC and once at State. Not sure how Lee finishs higher than either.

McGrew also went 1-1 with Meck at State losing on the front side and winning in the consolation finals.

I would understand McGrew over Sander and Lee. Just don't get Lee over either. I can make a body of work argument for Zac this season over both but I'll pass for now.

You don't see? You mean you did see, right? You were there.
