It's early.... but I wanted everyone to start thinking about the dates of the Junior Duals in OKC this year.

Greco Weigh-in: Tuesday night June 25th
Greco Wrestling: June 26-27

FS Weigh-in: Thursday night June 27th.
Freestyle Wrestling: June 28-19


Team Selection:

The 2013 Junior National Dual Teams will be selected by using the Kansas State FS/GR tournament at Hutchinson High School on May 4-5 as a gauge. The top finishers at state will be considered for placement on the Junior Dual teams.

The team will be more exclusive this year. We will have one Greco team and one Freestyle team. Final selection will be decided by the Coaching Staff.

Costs:
This year’s cost is around $300/wrestler. This money will pay for team entries, lodging, transportation, team gear, and one evening meal per style. If you want to be part of the 2013 team, then you are encouraged to be at the FS/GR state tournament in Hutchinson. Make checks payable to USAWKS.

Do you think that you could use a couple of alternates for each team in case of injuries? I think that would be a good choice.

The roster will consist of 24 wrestlers per style. That is 15 weights with 9 that are two deep. Nobody is really an alternate. The Junior Duals are a war that lasts 5 days and can include 15-16 tough matches.

That sounds good. I thought that there would be only one wrestler for each weight.
