I just wanted to see what the opinions were out there on the State tournament begin changed to the last weekend of March and moved from Saturday, Sunday to a Friday, Saturday.
I know for me this was a terrible thing! It has always been on my kids spring break and I didn't have to get them out of school or me take off work. This year I am going to miss my son wrestling on Friday because of work and I have to take my son out of school! Begining a single mom I have to send him with others. Again just my thoughts not that is matters much! I know this proabably has been discussed already but I missed it when it was! Can't wait to hear other parents thought! Thanks a lot for listening!

This does not happen that often. Only when it falls the weekend of Easter Sunday. Most of the kids do not have school on Friday because of the holiday. The tournament did not get changed, Easter weekend fell a little different this year. Here is a calendar of Easter Sundays. This will only happen one more time in the next 8 years.

We did have 5 weekends in march this year giving us an extra weekend in between the Wichita/western Kansas classic and subs. The state series could have been moved up a week and would have been fine.

When will the actual bout numbers be on the trackwrestling brackets?

Our spring break is this week, and I hate spring break. Kid eats every dang thing in sight.

My guess is the Expo Center is book yearly for the last weekend in March and probably was not available to be moved up a weekend - don't know for sure, just assume that might be an issue.
