I was wondering how many former wrestlers that graduated within the last 5-6 years or less, are now coaching somewhere. Anybody have names and where they wrestled in high school?

Dalen Welsh, 125 6th place in 2001 as a SR. He wrestled for AC and is back there coaching under Ron Schomaker.

Ben Carlson wrestled for Olathe East and placed 5th as a soph. and 3rd as a senior. He graduated in 2001 and now is one of our coaches.

- Gavin Spake wrestled for SMS at 145lbs all four yrs and was a 4x state qualifier. He graduated in 1998. He now coaches for SMS. - Shawn Coates wrestled for SMS and at 215lbs placed 6th his junior yr. He graduated in 1995. He now coaches for SMS. - Adam Nehring wrestled for Blue Valley and at 130lbs placed 6th his senior yr. He graduated in 2000. He now coaches for Blue Valley. - Brian Strohm wrestled for Bishop Miege and at 119lbs placed 4th his junior yr and at 130lbs placed 6th(injury default) his senior yr. He now coaches for Bishop Miege.

Brandon Pfeifer was a three time state runner-up. Graduated from Ellis High School in 1998 and is now head coach at TMP of Hays. A school that seems to be improving over the past four years from where they were.

Nathan Wolf of Manhattan graduated in '02 and placed 3rd his junior and senior years. He is now a coach, and hits on the managers, here.
So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

Kale Mann, Norton Community High School 2nd in '97 321A 145 is the assistant coach at Mill Valley in Shawnee and was also an assistant during his student days at KSU for Manhattan High where he pummeled prant on a daily basis.

As for me kswrestling...I graduated from Scott City in 2000. I was a 3X state qualifier, placing 4th my senior year at 189. I am currently coaching at Baldwin High School under Kit Harris.

Ben Jimenez, a 1994 Kapaun Mt. Carmel graduate and 1994 5A 275 lb. State Champion is assisting former KMC wrestlers and graduates Brian Shelton and Corey Jones at Valley Center.
Also assisting at Valley Center is multiple 5A State Placer Nathan Russell. Nathan had the misfortune of wrestling in Doug Hoover's weight class each year at state.

Former Ulysses Wrestler, Wes Walker is coaching for Kearney High School in Missouri. His team if a favorite to win the state championship in class 2 in Missouri.

Brandon Hille coaching at Trego Community High School - Graduated in 1999 - 4X State Qualifier, 3rd and 5th place at State - coaches with uncle David Hille also a former graduate of TCHS and a former state qualifier from the 70's! They coached brother and nephew Brett Hille to his 2nd State Championship last year - keeping it in the family!

Eric Arveson wrestled for Chapman (C'02) and is enjoying his second year of coaching @ Hutch Middle School (extra $ while continuing education). He was a 2x state placer (3d @140 & 4th @103) and a 3x regional champion.

Cody Parks is now coaching at Blue Vally West in KC. He was a 2X runner up at Hwt. for Minneapolis and continued his success while wrestling at FHSU.
