TOURNAMENT LOCATION
Baldwin High School, 415 Eisenhower, Baldwin City KS 66006
WEIGHT CLASSES
105, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 190, 220, 285 (no weight allowance)
*a team can have up to 3 total alternates
WEIGH-INS
In BHS downstairs locker room (must make scratch weight)
7-8pm Friday, July 12 [or] 7:30am Saturday, July 13
*contact Kit Harris if wanting to do a home site weigh-in
WRESTLER ELIGIBILITY
=>Teams for duals for all incoming grades 9-12
=>Youth matches provided on as available basis (elementary & JH)
=>All athletes must have personal insurance & must sign liability waiver
TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE
$150, make checks payable to BCWC
*mail registration form & entry fee to: Kit Harris, 301 Blaze Blvd, Baldwin City KS 66006 (roster may change day of event)
*can register day of tournament
*notify Coach Harris by 7/10 if attending so bracket & mat plans can be made
SCHEDULE/FORMAT
=>Folkstyle rules
=>Teams will be placed in pools to maximize matches, with a final placing dual
=>Youth matches will be paired up on one of the mats to provide as many matches as possible for youth & JH wrestlers
=>1 1/2 min periods with regular OT rules
AWARDS *depends on number of team entered
=>Wrestlers on top 2 or 3 teams win placing shirt
=>All-Tournament Team shirts for top 1 or 2 wrestlers in each weight class
=>no youth matches awards

Extras can be put on a team with an opening or an extra team can be created ($15 entry fee for individuals).

We have had good feedback. A number of schools have indicated they are working on a team to bring.
Shirt designs are being finalized and plans being made.
Hope everyone can make it to the first annual Summer Scuffle on July 13.
Working on pre-meet clinician, also.
Individuals welcome, can be placed on a team or an extra team can be created.

The pre-meet guest clinician will be judo National Champion Le'Roy Barnes, a 2x AA at Neosho CC (1st, 3rd). He has signed to wrestle for the Mizzou Tigers next season.

Award shirts for top two teams (all members) and also individuals top two in each weight class (All-Tourney team). Looking like we will have eight teams, at this point, but still several other maybes waiting to hear from.

Looks like we're going to have 8 teams unless any more sign up in next couple days:

We will get in 7 duals for each team.

Managers are coming in today to make a Keep Olympic Wrestling banner for a group photo before the tourney.
Also, pre-meet clinic to be put on by Neosho 2x All-American & National Champion Le'Roy Barnes, a MU Tiger signee.
Referees will be BU wrestlers and area former HS & current collegiate wrestlers.

If a HS wrestler plans to come and enter, let me know, I am sorting out lineups and will let you know what team I can place you on. Most teams have an opening or two. We also plan to put together a team of extra wrestlers who show up.
Will be good chance to get in lot of matches.
And we are going to use a pushout point rule!
Individual entry fee is $15, no USA card required.
Notify me your name & weight to have better chance of getting on a team soon as you can....
