I would show up anywhere to watch WillyM and Cokely spend 6 minutes on the mat to end this debate. I might even pay an entrance fee! ;—)

Maybe WillyM is on to something here with no wrestler left behind. If we only had a way to test the theory first! smile

Appears with baldeagle3351 and RobVinson we have two long term experts on this forum. Bald Eagle joined on 31 Jan 2013 and has all of 8 posts. RobVinsom joined on 27 Feb 2013 and has contributed his vast HS wrestling knowledge in all of his 2 posts.

At least PatrickCavanaugh has been around since Jan 10, 2007 and has 620 posts. I will pay some/a little attention to Cavanaugh, but Baldeagle and Vinson will be ignored---children should be seen and not heard!

Mr. C--What does Delta Bravo mean. Must be an attempted slam of some kind---at least around Silver Lake!

Delta Bravo is a secret term similar to Alpha Omega. It is used by a very select few. You must be invited to join by someone in the group but only AFTER someone in the group dies. You don't even want to know what you have to do to actually be accepted. Good luck to you and Delta Bravo

Thanks alot Jerry Dale. Unbelievable! You know the penalty for disclosing anything to the the uninformed. You know the first rule of our secret society. You don't talk about our secret society. Now, assume the position!!!!

My sincere apologies, WillyM. I wasn't aware that this forum operated under a caste system where those who have only a few posts weren't allowed to communicate with those with a larger amount. I must have missed that during the forum orientation meeting.

I was simply trying to add a small amount of brevity to a tired debate that has found its way on more than one thread.

Furthermore, I welcome your proactive attempt at ignoring me, in which you have failed, since acknowledging my light-hearted quip immediately caught your attention. Ignoring me would have solicited no response.

And to be clear on the subject, anyone who name-calls a student athlete or disparages a youth athletic program in a forum where they are present is irresponsible.

Good day to you, sir. Please commence in ignoring me.

What does he have to defend? They have gone from No Wrestling team to the #1 Ranked team in the state in just a few short years. Something they are doing is working.

Why would the HS coach have to defend anything. Mike runs a top notch program. I'm sure he doesn't find any value in defending it. His results speak for themselves.

How do we know they are the #1 team in Kansas. They have wrestled only one Kansas Tournament--Gardner Edgerton--finished #3 of 15 teams--think they had 3 firsts, 2 seconds, 2 fourths, 1 sixth, and 2 11th finishes. Agree pretty good depth and back side support. Still, there are several good Kansas teams they have not wrestled. Have not thoroughly gone through the Council Bluffs and Stampede results. But think it would be hard to include their results in Kansas rankings. Doubt if the rankers have data bases with all the all wrestlers from all those other states to meld with the Kansas data bases. Will have to see SJA results at instate tournaments, regionals, state where everyone is wrestling common foes.

Again, to be clear, I am not disparaging, knocking, denigrating, etc., SJA wrestlers--or coaches. Surely, a group of good, hard working kids and coaches. But, would like to see them help improve Kansas HS wrestling by wrestling in Kansas against other Kansas kids. If out of state teams come to Kansas tournaments and raise the competitive level of our tournaments, GREAT.

First, what is shoootfighting. You list it as one of your activities. Is that one of those exotic Oriental fighting techniques?

If the SJA coach lets a parent do all the talking for his team we have to consider that parent's statements--written or verbal--as the school's official position. Perhaps the coach and AD should lift the parents license to speak for the team.

I would bet the HS coach knows you are not worth his time :} What you have to say about a very good HS will not bug him at all.For that matter I would bet cash he just giggles when he sees you post.

But perhaps you do not want Kansas wrestlers to improve---you may have to face them in regionals or at state.

Willie,

Maybe you're right were helping OK, IA, NE wrestlers get better when we wrestle them and Kansas wrestlers aren't getting better. Then wouldn't it be true that when OK, IA and NE wrestlers wrestle KS wrestlers, than Kansas wrestlers are getting better and other OK, NE and IA wrestlers aren't getting better.

Maybe there's a Bizzaro Willie on a Oklahoma wrestling forum that's mad because Oklahoma wrestlers are suffering because they're wrestling Kansas wrestlers at the Stampede or some other national tournament and not wrestling local OK tournaments.
