Jonathan Ball was added back into the rankings at 138 this week after a great performance in Hays. The only reason I had him removed after the initial early season rankings was because he did not have enough quality wins over state placers or qualifiers to stay above some of the other wrestlers in the weight who were former state placers or qualifiers themselves.

I look for Ball to remain in the rankings for the rest of the season and have a major impact in Hays, this time at the Gross Memorial Coliseum.


That is some really odd rationale. A returning state champion who is unbeaten, as long as he is eligible and healthy, should NEVER fall out of the rankings because of his competition. NEVER
