Beeson, sorry I meant that as tongue in cheek. I have a more than a healthy respect for your opinions on wrestling, you have experience and a passion that are hard to match.

I did not say people are not pulling weight, I know they are, I just said that my 6 year old son won't pull weight and at 5 and 6 years old it is ludicrous to do so.

My feelings weren't hurt too bad. And I didn't mean you in particular had your head in the sand. I meant parents in General. I do agree, anything over just cutting out sweets and junk food at that age is insane. My problem with the new weights is that it makes it easier and easier for parents to justify pulling weight. I think that is a bad thing.

You are probably right about the justification to pull weight. My take is just that for me, I see it as a ok for me and my son for this year, that sure doesn't mean it is good for wrestling overall. I still would rather go to 6U state in Ottawa even with the cramped spaces.
