The Hays Wrestling Club will be hosting their annual Western Kansas Classic tournament March 8, 2014. Once again this tournament will be wrestled at Gross Memorial Coliseum on the campus of Fort Hays State University. We will be using track wrestling again this year, but will be adding the live scoring as we are utilizing the new Track Wrestling Clocks. Your club directors should have received our flyer via email this week. If you have not received the flyer please let us know ASAP and we will get one sent to you via email.

Will there be a weigh-in available in Hays on Friday night? Also, this will be our first time at your tournament, how late does it usually run? I'm wondering if I need to get a room for both nights.

We will have weigh ins in Hays at FHSU Friday March 7th.

In the past our tournament has completed around 5:00PM. It will of course depend on our numbers we usually have around 1,000-1,100 wrestlers entered. I believe we have capped it at 1200 this year to ensure we get out of there at a good time.

We are excited that you are coming to our tournament for the first time.

We will start posting our satellite weigh in locations next week.

We have had a couple of clubs contact us reporting that they did not receive our tournament flyer via email. Please contact me ASAP by private message if you did not receive the flyer for our tournament coming up on March 8th as we do not want to leave anyone out. It appears there were a few clubs left off of the email list we received in regards to all the sanctioned clubs in the state of Kansas.

We are getting it put on there as well. But we wanted to make sure every club got one directly as well.
