I have not been active in Kids club for many years. If a high school athlete wrestles in a national tournament and misses sub-District is there a way they can still wrestle at districts? I know back in the 90's there was an exemption but I did not know if it was still in place. Anyone know if this rule still applies or who to contact to find out?

Thanks

Travis,

The exemption you referred to still exists, but it is very limited in scope. Here is the exact text of the rule:
Quote:
All Junior High Wrestlers that were participating in a school affiliated (KSHSAA) wrestling
program on the same day as a qualifier, will be permitted to wrestle in the next level
tournament.

Since a national tournament would not be a school affiliated (KSHSAA) wrestling program, this provision would not be applicable.
