The Hays Wrestling Club will be hosting their annual Western Kansas Classic tournament March 8, 2014. Once again this tournament will be wrestled at Gross Memorial Coliseum on the campus of Fort Hays State University. We will be using track wrestling again this year, but will be adding the live scoring as we are utilizing the new Track Wrestling Clocks. Your club directors should have received our flyer via email this week. If you have not received the flyer please let us know ASAP and we will get one sent to you via email. Western Kansas Classic

Iowa 15 yr old 8th grader looking to wrestle in Kansas this w/e either Park City or W.Kan./Hayes, or ?---pretty good, experienced, Nat-placer, looking to get-beat/challenged. But do you guys also have Kansas State Dists. going on that would deplete the talent? Need advice.

If you haven't ever been to this tourney I strongly urge you to try it. In the years we took our club it always had some incredibly good brackets, usually just over 1000 kids, we got to see some different officials,some different opponents, and we were never there past about 4:30. Any kind of problems were handled by the people running the tourney promptly and they always showed opposing teams, coaches and wrestlers great respect. Most of the years we went I was back home in the Wichita area watching tv by 8 or 8:30. One of the best ran tourneys we went to all year.

thanks & it does look like W Kan had a few more than PCity in 125-135 HS, last year. What is the event going on with all the #ed districts, HS down to 6U?

All weigh ins are from 6:30PM-8:00PM with he exception of the Hays site. Hays will be from 6:30-8:30 and Burlington will be from 3:00-6:00.

The weigh in for the MCEL tournamnet has just been finalized with dates and times. The schools AD's should be recieving an eamil soon with the needed information, but there will be a weigh in at Plainville for the MCEL participants for our tournament.
