Just confused how the club directors could vote to mandate subs for District 4 high school division. Seems like a ton of driving, gas, time, and entry fees for not much wrestling... I am struggling to find the common sense and fiscal responsibility of this decision. ALL of these brackets would have been easy to decide on the weekend of Districts.

Hell, just change the rules mid season and force them to do what you want. 6U weights were voted down, but they were changed anyways. 30 kids chose to attend a tournament in Colorado, so the rules were changed to allow them to wrestle the state series. Just Cancel the D4 Subs, apparently those in power can do whatever they want, even if the "State Body" doesn't agree. I'm sure glad that those in power know what is best for us simple folk and help protect us from ourselves. Thank You, Big Brother.

Beeson looking at your post you seem very upset about something? Not sure what is going on but is there someone you can talk to or file a complaint with. Cokley you live in D1 don't worry about us out here in D4 we can take care of ourselves. We spend money on gas, spend our time and energy every weekend to go were we can get mat time. One match or seven mat time is mat time.

Get rid of Subs and Districts all together!!! Have a 3 day state tournament and take all entries in each weight class. Assign a division and a set amount of weights to be seeded by Kansas kids board members. They could use trackwrestling for head to head and if a tournament was held in Kansas and chooses not to use trackwrestling, then they would be required to send the results to their respective district boards to be reported and used for seeding. 6 under state has always had 64 and 32 man brackets and are wrestled in one day. I don't believe that you would have over 64 man brackets and wrestle them in a 3 day state tournament format. You would make a ton more money off of entry fees and food sales.

Track had not been updated for this year's tournament when I copied those last night. Mat time is mat time. I don't think a majority of the parents would agree to needlessly wrestle a qualifier. The choice of where to get your mat time would be a better option. These numbers are before scratches and you have nearly 1/3 of your DISTRICT brackets that don't need to be wrestled to qualify and 75% of your sub brackets with four or less. District 4 is ALWAYS complaining about how big it is and how far they have to travel, how much it costs, and these are legitimate issues when you have brackets like these.
