Just wanted to let the word out that I have moved on from four great years at Immaculata -- the last three as head coach -- to take a teaching job and the head wrestling coaching job at Maur Hill Prep in Atchison. We'll be working hard to get the numbers back up and start turning the program into a success.

who took over at Imac

Also I saw on your post on Imacs web where the old tongy coach went to Eudora. What is Coach Abel doing?

I don't know for sure who is taken the Imac program, but I'm sure they'll find a good one. As for Coach Abel, my understanding it that he has gotten into administration.

I did manage to find out that Imac has chosen Mike Connel to take over the wrestling program. Mike wrestled and was an assistant at Pleasant Ridge for several years, then was the coach a couple of years ago at Kinsley.

I was pleased to see they got Mike; he should do a great job for the Raiders.

Will former PR coach Klint Deere resurface with Connel? I saw where his son is wrestling on the national circuit from California but saw Deere in Topeka saying he was living there.

I think it's outstanding that you took over MHP. Hopefully you can finish a season with more than 4 wrestlers. I wanted to say thanks for keeping it alive, and I plan on coming to the meets and getting on the mat with you guys whenever I can. It's people like you that keep this stuff going.
