My goal is to release the 2014-15 Pre-Season All-Class rankings on SEPTEMBER 26th!

Please send me your anticipated weights for wrestlers to be considered for All-Class as well as Class rankings.

SEPTEMBER 26??? That's a full two months before the season starts. Nothing like getting a jump on the season and changing the rankings over 100 times before they even step on the mat.

Get to it Chief. Welcome to high school Chad. Why the sarcasm? It will change weekly. Least someone follows EVERY class of wrestler throughout the year. Kudos CHIEF!!!

"Pre-season" rankings necessitate that they be released prior to the start of the season. In order to increase perspicuity, I will attempt to list the wrestlers at their closest anticipated weight class.

As in most all wrestling matters I find myself once again siding with my friend Chad Beeson. Inasmuch as KSHSAA organized practice sessions shall not begin prior to November 17, 2014 and the first date of competition shall not be prior December 01, 2014, a request on or about November 01, 2014 should allow sufficient time to assimilate all relevant information to accomplish the goal of providing lucid pre-season rankings.

We shouldn't need a dictionary to read this talk forum... And I'm sure most of us could say not with certainty but dam close to it, what weight our boys will be at this year.

If High School is more about guessing and talking I won't be Welcomed for long. There was no Sarcasm in my comments, Rankings should be done monthly not daily. Done so early they aren't even close. Look at last years first Rankings compared to the final rankings...Day/Night.

Ah lighten up buddy. I took a vote and it was 147-2 (You and Rich) in favor of the pre-season release and weight class projection.

Football Rankings will change less during the entire football season than the Wrestling Rankings will change during the entire football season.

I can honestly say that Ark City has very little to no idea where everyone will be during the season. Definitely not enough of an idea to base rankings on. I would say 1/2 of the teams in the state are in the same boat...making the rankings moot until December.

Chief, you know I have to give you a hard time about the rankings. Why would I stop just because Jake is in High School now? They definitely have a place during the season, but they keep coming out sooner and sooner each year. I'm expecting them to come out March 1st by the time Jake is a Senior.

If you go back to last year, yes it changed, monthly,( after season started) but what I've seen is pre-season rankings are pretty darn close. Yes it's a guessing game on who will be a what weight. Team rankings changed a lot. Individual rankings were pretty close, with in the top 6. Everyone out there knows, their coach will put there wrestler in the best spot, for the benefit of the team and wrestler. Chiefs predictions are just that, predictions. Once ALL the kids step on the mat in December, all bets are off. Don't get your panties in a wad over it. But it is kinda cool to see what Chief thinks.

Anyone that has ever been out on a drunken binge with me knows I don't wear underwear...let alone panties. Check those preseason rankings...not even close except for St. James, but we know Chief will ALWAYS have them towards the top.

Early information is showing that we have 12-15 really tough teams in Kansas! This is the deepest Top 10 that I have seen in 3-4 years. Depending on the classification news, 6A will be a dogfight!
