Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Official New Club in Yates Center

Hello! Yates Center is an official USA Kansas Kids Club. We just received our team singlets and head gear are on the way. I am excited for our team. It's been a lot of hard work to get where we are at. I am bake sale pooped out! Lol!

All I am wanting to do this year is take my novice kids to perhaps 3 or 4 novice tournaments. Since we currently do not have a high school team at this time, I also want to give my 14 year old's a shot at Districts and, if they advance, possibly state.

I also would rather attend novice tournaments in our surrounding area such as Burlington, Iola, Chanute, Fredonia, and Eureka. I don't want to do anything real big, yet!

I have a parent meeting November 5th and it would help me best if I knew in advance what tournaments we will go to so I can tell them.

Any advice or suggestions?

Jamy puts on an excellent tournament! Also a very good novice tournament in Leavenworth called the Pioneer Novice.

This is great news. Yates Center is my home town and I wish we would have had wresting when I was growing up there. Unfortunately it wasn't till after I left that I got involved in it. Let me know if I can do anything to help. I have already talked to a few of my friends who have signed their kids up and are looking forward to it!
