The Elementary (and Middle School) teams will be attending this event April 10, 11th and 12th - held at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The Elementary School will take 5 teams as determined by finishing order at the qualifying tournament on March 1st in Salina. We can also take up to 4 alternates per team - with 6th place finishers having first opportunity.

Weight classes are; 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140, and 160.

Design work on the singlets, etc is happening right now and the theme is aviation. We should have proofs back in the next week or so.

The teams will be meeting in Topeka again and riding together in vans. I will need 6 or 7 volunteers to drive. I'll also need 3 or 4 coaches per team.

Both the Elementary and Middle school teams will be staying at the same place as last year - Holiday Inn Express, 2610 Abbott Plaza, Carter Lake, Iowa.

There is a block of 80 rooms set up for parents on a first come basis, at the Candlewood Suites across the street - $94.95 plus tax for double queens and $109.95- $114.95 plus tax for suites. Call Kelli Spies at 402-505-4900 and ask for Kansas Wrestling Parents Block.

Will these be the weight classes for the MS division at Heartland?

These will be the weight class for the middle school:
75, 80, 85, 90, 95 102, 110, 117, 125, 132, 140, 150, 160, 175, 195, 220, 275

what age range are the elementary starting at 8? 10?

If I remember right it is sixth grade and below, there is a max age.

There is a tournament to decide teams, 6th grade and below and one for the middle school dual team 7th and 8th grade.

6th grade can go either elementry or middle school.

Elementary is for 1st through 6th grade. My son had a great time last year and hopes to make the team again this year.

If your wrestler IS NOT attending this event, please let me know ASAP

I will start another topic for alternates - we will ask for volunteers starting with 6th place finishers - we can take 3 alternates per team

Singlets do not pop yet.

Hope to have them by Friday, if not, the first of the week.

The Candlewood Suites - 402-505-4900 - called to let me know that they only have 22 rooms left - as of today - for the parents block. The block and pricing is only good until March 24th.

Any list of middle school teams and alternates ? If so where do I look.
