FINAL SUMMARY

28 wrestler rode the bus up to Cedar Falls where we joined up with 48 more Kansas grapplers who made their way up north to see who could climb onto the podium and stake a claim to be a USA Cadet or Junior All American. Today 10 Cadets and 9 Junior very tired wrestlers are going home with that status. I don't have access to the data but I believe this is the largest number of Kansas high school division wrestlers to compete in Cedar Falls. Congratulations to ALL of the competitors and especially to the ALL AMERICANS.

Special thanks to Curtis Chenoweth, Zack Cook, Ryne Cokeley, and Conor Fitzgerald for running around trying to keep up with all of these wrestlers. Excellent coaching staff!

Super thanks to Zach Campbell and Bronson Wills for helping me with registration, gear distribution, and feeding our bus riders! They were awesome!

** Special note... This year they utilized video on every mat. If there was a question on an officials scoring you could protest the call for $100 and two head officials reviewed the action and applied the proper call. If your protest was not upheld you forfeit your $100, if upheld your $100 was returned. Team KS had two such protests and on both occasions our wrestlers had bad calls overturned resulting in victory!
