My family had subscribed to DirecTV for 5 years, then we switched to Dish. It has more local channels, it even gave us UPN and WB (we did not have them before), plus a Tivo-Like PVR, which does not have a subscriber fee. Dish is also cheaper.
Trust me, Dish is better, even without that channel...
