Danny,

I don't think that Kansas is the weight loss capital of the world, but I do think that they need to fall in line with national rules. I believe there is a huge difference between weighing in the night before (24 hours), the morning of (12 hours), and 1-2 hours before a match. How many times have you heard a coach, when talking about the state tournament, "if we can catch him on the Friday, we can beat him"? That statement in itself proves my point. If you catch a weight puller on Friday when they just made weight and still need to make weight, you have a better chance of beating them. If you wait till Saturday, after they have put on 15-20 pounds it gets a little harder. Why do you think there are so many upsets on day one instead of day two. Weights are equal on day one and they are not on day two.

I'll end with this thought, from you. "Make yourself better for the NEXT level." The next level follows the National Rule.
