Just to liven things up a bit I thought this might hold some interest.

What are some of the different High School records that are tracked for your school season and career?

Buhler High

Victories Jake Gehring 42 2012/13 Jake Gehring 137 2009-13
Falls Jon Yates 26 2013/14 Brian Allender 67 1989-93
Takedowns Matt Ledbetter 95 2001/02 Scott Whitson 263 2010-14
Near Falls Jake Gehring 57 2012/13 Jake Gehring 152 2009-13
Reversals Kaylob Phillips 43 2006/07 Adam Langvardt 93 2000-04
Escapes Scott Whitson 48 2011/12 Scott Whitson 132 2010-14

I thought this might be interesting to see some of what I would call more historic programs and how they compare to others.

Be careful what you ask for!! To me there are just a few important stats:

WINS
TOTAL MATCHES (SEASON & CAREER)
PINS
TEAM POINTS
STATE QUALIFYING AND PLACING

All of those other records are just NOISE! I HATE, HATE, HATE the TAKE DOWN record. This is BAD for wrestling. It basically encourages a superior wrestler to humiliate ALL of his inferior opponents. For the love of wrestling, JUST PIN YOUR GUY!

Don't be sorry you asked! smile

Wins are all that matter. With as many matches, these young men are wrestling these days, 100 wins is great! But lots of juniors are reaching this goal each year. Love the fact, more and more teams are out to be the best, by looking outside the "box." All you have to do is look.
