Thank you to ALL wrestlers, families, and fans for an unbelievable day at Lawrence High School today. One of Kansas' greatest wrestlers was honored today on the mat, and it was intense, emotional, and a huge success. Reece was certainly looking down on us.
All wrestlers, coaches, and parents were in top form today. Great competition, unparalleled sportsmanship, and an incredible atmosphere. I am so pleased.
More than anything, again I want to thank Head Official Ron Bailey and his unbelievable crew for a flawless day on the mats. We are so blessed to have officials like this crew to call matches with poise and accuracy. My hat is off to every one of them. Thanks Ron.
A HUGE thanks to our friend Joe Knecht, who again assisted us in the bracketing and smooth run of the tournament. No one around here is better.
Thank you again for a HUGE success today, with nearly 700 young grapplers and over 1200 matches inside of 7 or so hours.
