Time Stands Still is referring to this post:

According to KSHSAA, the feeling of the Executive Board is before any extension of the wrestling season for any type of tournament is approved by the Executive Board, school finances must improve dramatically.

KSHSAA does not make recommendations regarding a proposal unless asked specifically by the Executive Board, and in this case, no recommendation was requested.

Contrary to what Coach Holmes believes, if the fans support an issue and inform their school administrators of their support, and inform the school administrator they are expected to support the issue, there is a far greater chance of passing the proposal. It is the school administrators who vote on the issue, not the coaches. Not all administrators vote the same way as the wrestling coach requests, or the proposal would pass.

I can guarantee Coach Holmes if a large group of fan/boosters approach the administrator(s) regarding support of an issue, the fan/boosters opinion carries far more weight with the administrator(s) than does the coach. The administrator(s) are well aware their job is directly related to the support of their constituency, whereas the wrestling coach reports to, and follows the instructions of, the administrator.

Let me also remind the coach if there is no support from the fan base for a coach, and the fan base is vocal regarding their displeasure to the administration, the coach likely will not have their contract renewed. I know this to be true, as I have personally headed two separate successful change of coach initiatives, and likely will very shortly become involved in another.

Ahhh Mr. Salyer. After reading this forum for the past 2 years, and watching you on the sidelines at Circle Football & Wrestling events, I feel compelled to ask: Which 2 coaches did you 'head up' to get rid of? And, who may I ask, is the next lucky victim?
If by chance, you are referring to the resignation of Coach Fager, you give yourself way too much credit. Your phone calls and general harassment of our coaches and administrators came to be known as quite a 'bragging right'. Who will the lucky coach/administrator be this week? (note sarcasm) I know for a fact that the resignation of Coach Fager had nothing to do with you or your friend, Mr. Norris. This was something that was in the works for awhile. Your phone calls to parents after Coach resigned, where you stated: I got rid of that coach for you, were nothing but a joke among the parents at Circle. Your theatrics at football games & wrestling tournaments only added to the list of reasons why the parents at Circle, and the coaches/administrators are glad you are no longer associated with this high school.
You may think I only speak for myself, but you are wrong, I can guarantee you that I speak for a vast majority of parents at Circle.
As stated by Time:

"A few weeks ago Richard bragged of having had two wrestling coaches fired and boasted that he was working on the third."

Salyer made no reference to having any wrestling coach fired!

"Fact: In this forum less than one month ago Richard claimed to have led the firing of two wrestling coaches in Kansas and was working on a third."

Again, Salyer made no reference to any wrestling coach and the dates of the post were certainly not "less than one month ago".

As for the Circle parent, the poster was simply devoid of the facts. The anonymous post was simply an opportunity to post an almost factless attack.

Anyone who has ever attended a Circle football game will attest to the fact there is a fence separating the stands from the field . Further, the only time Salyer was ever on the field during any football game was for Senior night prior to kickoff. The poster was certainly not in attendance at any meeting between the Superintendent of schools, the High School principal and myself, as all meetings were held in private.

The coach resigned his position after being informed a renewal of his contract would not be recommended to the Board of Education.

Rest assured "Time", I have no intention of having any ones baby.

Unfortunately, once again, you are again wrong on the facts.
