Great finals match at 132 yesterday at Clay Center. Controversial call at the end. I thought it should have been 2 or nothing; not 1. Glad I got to see it. Two great kids competing hard.

Lots of great finals matches at this tournament. The wrestlers definitely made the referees work hard. In the end don't leave it up to the officials and they are like the wrestlers they will develop as the season goes along. We want their best performance in February just like our wrestlers.

How were the points scored and what happened at the end?

Brenner Vogan took Tubbs to overtime. Brenner will be
a 5A placer. Looked great!

I would agree with the finals statement. Some great matches, and like you stated, Coach Pigorsch, don't leave it to the official, leave no doubt.

As far as points, Porsch scored off a locked hands and escaped right after in the second. I believe there were about 30ish seconds left. Tubbs scored off a reversal in the third with about 30ish seconds again. Got into a scramble on the edge with about 10 seconds left which resulted in the controversial call of Porsch getting the escape as time expired. Heck of a match, hopefully I'll be able to see these two square off again.

Brenner Vogan, I take it he's the kid out of Salina South? I wasn't able to see that match against Tubbs but got filled in upon my arrival at the tournament by a friend. Saw he beat Richard out of Riley County for 3rd and looked pretty impressive. I can see him making some noise!

Brenner is definitely on the radar. He will wrestle Roberson tonight!
