This sure was one deep bracket! Some things haven't changed. These boys, now men continue to wrestle at a high level, and I still follow them. When I look at the results of a tournament that Derby wrestled in, I always check to see how Brandon did. Same with every last one of these guys. Finish strong men, and thank you for the memories!

That is very cool! I was just telling my wife the other night that I should be able to help with the HS rankings in a couple of years. I've been fans of so many of the kids as they grew. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us.

Thanks for the post. We've been following this same group of boys over the years as well. It's been fun to keep up with all of them and their accomplishments over the years. Thanks for the memories over the years and good luck to all of you.

This was a great tourney as everyone put weight differences aside and didn't care if they won or lost, but to make a fun bracket for everyone to be in. The parents liked all the tough kids in one bracket, some went up, some dropped down. All of the top 6 placed at Tulsa that year, and all of the placement matches were rematches of the state finals from the previous year.

Salina TOC... I have three boys that wrestle(d) and all three ended up being HS state champs. In the 17 combined times they wrestled in Salina we have ZERO first place trophies to show for their efforts! smile A ton of 2nd, 3rd etc but none of them made it to the top of the podium.
