I do not see the District 2 Championship Tournament on the State calendar on the website. I am aware we are not having a sub-district tournament for District 2 & I do see where District 1 appears to be having their Championship Tournament the same weekend as District 3 &4's sub-districts tournaments but I see nothing for when District 2's will definitely be, on this State calendar. Can someone please tell me for sure which weekend District 2 will host their District Tournament at the Kansas Star Casino?

I believe D2 is Mar. 11, @ the casino. This was chosen to free up the following weekend which is the start of spring break and also NCAAs.

This is the response I got from the D2 director when I asked for confirmation of Districts being on the 11th & when the flyer would be released for District 2! Hope this helps! ~Ashlie
"Ashlie:
District 2 Tournament is March 11, 2017 at Kansas Star Arena. I am still finalizing details of contract with Kansas Star and flyer will not be prepared until sometime in February. There is a Corporate Board meeting on January 29, 2017 and I am sure there will be details discussed regarding the State Tournament series, do not want to prepare a flyer until after all details are finalized.

Thank you for your info that you both shared! This info will be very helpful making preparations! I wonder if this date has been confirmed to our Club Directors? Maybe I just missed the memo that confirmed this, which is very possible!! Kinda weird that it's not on the Calendar yet though?

It would have been confirmed if your club director or Coach attended the District 2 meeting that is held every year. That is when it was voted on and decided....date and venue.

The Newton satellite weigh-in will be at the old Washington Elementary School in the auditorium. Location is 400 South Main, Newton, Kansas.
