Those Green v Duhart commons are not criteria. Though you did leave out their common match with Christiensen, who Duhart pinned and Green beat 6-5.

So Chad you are saying that someone who wasn't even a State Champion should be ranked above someone who did have their hand raised
How does that make any sense.
#1 criteria to be ranked #1 should be that you won your last match

How are they not common opponents when they wrestled the same guy

Another common opponent with Green and Duncan was Marcos Fischer--Dodge City
Duncan won 9-3
Green won 13-2

Can someone please answer why Duncan should be above Duhart? I didn't see the match. All i know is that Duhart has one loss and it was at Regionals to Duncan and then he avenged that loss at state. I dont understand under what possible criteria the Duncan is above Duhart

The Christiensen common...

Duhart pinned.
Green beat 6-5.

To be clear... margin of victory in commons carries very little weight!

They both won! The definition of having a common over someone involves beating a guy who another lost to.

Blaine Ray above Singleton, see the regional match. State placing was based on the way the bracket was seeded out.

Old Dawg Gautschi and duhart never wrestled they were in different regionals and none of this have anything to do with how gautschi did at TOC. All i know is its hard to see a scenerio were a person loses the state championship match and finishes #1. That being said both duhart and green should be ahead of duncan.

I did not see the entire match i saw much of overtime. Maybe i missed something.I'm talking about the 220 5A title match.I'm going off Beeson's response who did not have a dawg in the fight and i didn't either. Our guy was third and lost by one to duncan in the semis.

In 4A 160lbs. Mlekus was in total control of the match, and came up short because of one mistake! If I was doing the rankings I would have a hard time not ranking Mlekus ahead of Mullin.

In the case of that match the better wrestler did get his hand raised. The final score of the match dictates who "wins" and gets their hand raised. Hard to rank a guy over someone that has a head to head over you and a common opponent. Mullin beat Luellen 2 times this year who beat Mlekus.
