Dingbat, while I agree that there should not be an overabundance of *swish*es, I disagree with the fact that you shouldn't be able to call your own.
If we look at the origin of the *swish*--MTV's short-lived cartoon "3 South," we see that the fat kid called his own "Switch" at the lesbian rock concert. The term "Switch" has evolved into *swish,* just because not every zinger one produces is going to be a switch. Thus, *swish* is a more broad, general form of insult.
But don't think people will go around calling *swish*es all over the place. True forum members know what a *swish* is and, more importantly, is not. If a general consensus of forum members think a good insult has been delivered, the *swish* warrants itself. If an over-abundance of *swish*es occurs, simply ignore the unfunny people and shake your head, because they obviously want to be you.
