Outgoing KSHSAA executive director Gary Musselman asked Faflick to co-chair a task force with another respected administrator, Mike Kastle of LeRoy. That was roughly two years ago, before Musselman knew of his intentions to retire, or Faflick’s interest in the KSHSAA’s top position.
