Olathe just cancelled school because of the Forecast....Freaking hilarious. Who wants to bet Bobcat gets cancelled AGAIN over nothing?

Looks like Gardner and Leavenworth admins are not allowing them to go to Newton, so they will be attending the Bobcat this year.

As of now, nothing has been cancelled. From what I'm hearing is they will not be cancelling it.

I don't see Stillwell or Highland Ranch in Track for the event.... They are not attending this year. The only out of state team is Platte County! Possible hard feelings from last year's debacle? Leavenworth and Gardner changed from Newton to Bobcat yesterday...

FYI: the Finals are being broadcast live in the Lawrence/Basehor/Tongie/Piper/Eudora area on Midco Sports Network on Midco Channel 32 or 622 (HD).

Is there any place that you can watch it streaming online. I know the live feeds in the past you are still able to view the finals from past tournaments.

The Bobcat is one of my favorites! Every year it reminds me of what my dad used to tell me. He used to say “Son, you can’t fix stupid!” Of course no one ever listens to their dad so they try to prove them wrong. Well dad, I gave up trying to fix the seeding at The Bobcat. You were right. You can’t fix stupid. They are letting one man single handedly run off all of the teams. They need pooling and an astute seeding committee or it will soon be at the bottom of the list of tough tournaments in Kansas instead of the top. No one wants to burn four comp points to go 0-2 or 4-0.

The battle at 145 between Conner Ward and Javier Contreras was really fun to watch. Both kids showed tremendous class and talent. Hats off to them

Don’t tell anybody we had the same teachers please. No coach is OK with his wrestler only getting TWO matches with so many other options available to get more mat time. Randy W. might be like you are. You guys like the old school way and will even rig the coach vote to your liking.

We should make 4 pools of 4 at state. Take each quarter bracket and do round robin so you get 3 matches. Pool winners are semifinalists. 2nd place pool finishers go to the back to conso quarters, semi-losers cross bracket to face opposite side of the bracket. Semi guys still get in top 6, but guys get at least 3 matches for trip to state. 3rd or 4th in pool you are eliminated.
Do Semis in the morning of day 2 (like most college levels do).
