Another New Wrestling Program - Fontbonne University -
"A step in the right direction for College Wrestling"

Its being reported on Missouriwrestling.com that this School in St. Louis, Missouri is starting a College Wrestling Program.
Fontbonne competes in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Until recently, Missouri had Zero D3 Programs. Now with Westminster (1st year) & Fontbonne, Missouri will have two D3 Programs.
A step in the right direction for College Wrestling !

They ought to be able to get southern Illinois wrestlers as well with the location. As to the other D3 school, it will be interesting to see where that goes. Westminster has just 8 on the roster, but they did get a late start with the program only being started in December of 2016.

Great news. I think Washington University in St. Louis would be an excellent addition to D3 next in MO. Hope these two additions can facilitate that program adding as well. Any program adding is good, but it's always better when the decision to add is at a "marquee" school (like the recent fresno state addition) where it is not based on a push to increase enrollment and there is value added to the wrestlers who attend.
