Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Girls divisions or tournaments

My daughter is a freshman this year and will be the only girl on the team. She is interested in wrestling girls tournaments and girls divisions only. I have looked at the list from last year, but was wondering if there is a list for this year yet and if there are any additional high school tournaments that will be adding a girls division. I was wanting to have a better idea before I approach the coach and athletic director.

The Fredonia Invitational is January 26th this season and your daughter would be welcome. We run a men's tournament and women's tournament and are accepting new teams into both!

I would like to see the list of Girl tourneys/divisions options.. I have one girl on my HS team also

have schedule for 18-19?
whats date for Girls State? is it in McPherson again?

I would assume they are all on for this year still. I have McPherson, Burlington, Ft. Scott, Fredonia, Wichita South and the state tournament on my schedule for this year. I will pick up others possibly as well. Should have around 10 girls on our team this year.

Girls State has been two weeks before the KSHSAA State Tournament, so I'm sure its the same weekend again this year.

J.C. Harmon is wanting to host a girls tournament for the 2019-20 wrestling season. Since there really isn't a tournament in the Kansas City area for girls we would like to see how many school would be interested in attending. Any ideas of dates and/or tournament formats please let me know. My administration said they would be on board if there was enough interest.
