Hoxie High crowned it's second 4 Time State Champion over the weekend. Dayton Porsch wrapped up his High School career with a record of 145-2 and 101 pins, becoming the 9th 3,2,1a wrestler to win 4 Titles. I know the list is short on schools that have crowned more than one 4 timer I don't think any in 3,2,1a have but help me out on the others. I pretty sure I have most of them with Goddard, Kapaun, and Ark City who have I missed? I am trying to get facts straight. Thanks Mike

Coach Porsch,
1. Congrats to Dayton = what an outstanding wrestler and kid. 2. Congrats to his coach Matt Gilliland (that's a joke), congrats to you as his long time coach and congrats to being the DAD!!! 3. I can't help you out with the 4 timers without doing some research and I will do my best on that.
There are some people that don't understand the work that goes into just winning one state championship, let alone 2, 3, or the 4th, because anything can happen during one of those matches at a state tournament, and the nerves sometimes become unbearable. So with that said...........WOW!!!
Congrats to the Porsch family!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mike. Congrats to Dayton... looking forward to follow his career as a UNI Panther! The go-to resource is Mitch Beims "Kansas High School State Placers" website found at http://mcbeims.wixsite.com/kansasstateplacers be careful though, you will find yourself reminiscing and looking up other trivia answers and two-hours has flown by! Thanks Mitch on your dedication to organizing and updating the information! Coach Kelly

I have enjoyed watching Dayton since he was a young wrestler in kids club. It was evident early in his career he was something special. Winning 4 titles is an amazing feat. But I think what is the most amazing thing with Dayton is the dominating way he won his state titles. 101 pins in a career is a fantastic accomplishment.
Congratulations Dayton and Mike

Thank You for the information and help I think I have it right but feel free to correct it if I am wrong. I have Ark City with 5 4-timers, Kapaun, Goddard, and Hoxie each with 2 4-time State Champs!
