I am looking at changing the display of past state placers in our wrestling room. If you have something in your room that you particularly like, please share it with me. You can PM me on this forum or email me at mikejuby@usawks.com. I'd also be interested in what others are using to show the team lineups at each weight. Mike Juby Buhler High School

Thank you! I made the decision to add the girls to the wall as well and make no distinction between them and the guys. I have taken some slack for that among some parents, but I believe they deserve their spot as well!

These look great, coach! Love it.
How much was each plate? And how are they attached to the wall?

I think the total was around $25 each including powder coating. We used concrete anchors to attach to the wall.

Very cool idea. We actually have two different displays. In our wrestling room we have the names of every person who has ever qualified for the state tournament in the history of our program painted on the wall. Our program dates back to 1969, it takes up alot of space but it is neat to see the entire history of our program like that. Former coaches had started it and I have continued it. I also put our wrestlers how co-op with us on the wall as well if they qualify. Our main display is actually in our main gymnasium, with just the state placers on it. We have it hung on the hall right below the American flag so every time the national anthem is played at a basketball game everyone has to see our wrestling placer board. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6qPhoZA72LXczdsel9KUWo5S3dscHVLb21Ja2pHdjJ2X2dVhttps://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6qPhoZA72LXMWRmTEMtT1c5ZlJwbTBGZEZhVE4xdnhDZzZ3

Hey Mike, my favorite state placer board in the state is St. Francis. It’s been a dozen years ago, and if I recall correctly they have three 4’x8’ pieces of plywood and that only covers the state champions names. I believe it was about 100 names. Fix my memory Sainty folks, but it is impressive! Then they have an entire forest of plywood to recognize the other placers. Best get to coaching Michael!
It’s a great day to be alive
