Nickerson High School is looking to add some extra teams to some tournaments we host. Open to anyone, any classes.
Our JV tournament is typically the 2nd full week in January on a Tuesday night. We have had this closed off for just our CKL League JV and had 56 participants this year. Would like to know if any other teams might be interested. We start at 3:30 and were out of the door by 7:30, with a dinner break. Teams from this year included Halstead, Hesston, Hillsboro, Hoisington, Larned, Nickerson,Pratt, and Smokey Valley) Everything is ran round robin style to get these kids the most amount of matches possible.
Within the same week on a Friday night, we host a Varsity tournament. This tournament used to be a dual tournament in the past, however with schools that have smaller numbers it was pointless to have 1/2 line ups. Tournament is round robin style, starts at 2pm and we were out by 9pm. This tournament has various size schools attending, Smokey Valley, Nickerson, Wichita North, Wichita East, Wichita SouthEast, Garden Plain, Chaparral, Cheney, Stafford. Would like to make this Tournament a little bigger.
