Are the girls going to follow the max 15lb difference for brackets? I ask because I have a girl signed up from our team that is 18lbs heavier than any of the girls signed up in her age division. If they do follow the max difference and there is no one for her to wrestle will she be refunded her money for entry? As a coach, I don't think it would be right to give her a state title without wrestling and I hope the tournament would not give the parents the option of taking a title vs refunding their money.

From our bylaws Rule 4-4-1 would apply

Rule 4-4-1 No additional age or weight classes are allowed. Wrestlers whose weight exceeds
the maximum weight class in their age division may move up a maximum of one
age division; otherwise, wrestlers may not wrestle out of their age division.
