Back by popular demand - The State Tournament Committee is once again having program to release a limited number of Reserved Seats in Landon Arena for all sessions of the State Tournament. NEW this year, it will be for a single section and it will be a raffle NOT an auction. The event center has completed a remodeling of the SW lower bowl into a “party deck” with 100 raised bar height tables and chairs; these are the seats up for chance drawing this year.
Rules of the contest
1) If interested in reserving this 100 seat section for your club you must let me know by emailing usawks.statetournament@gmail.com with how many chances you would like to purchase for $100 per ticket. There is no limit on the number of raffle tickets a person/club may purchase. However, all ticket requests must be in writing to the above listed email and the person/club making request will be responsible to pay USAW Kansas for the tickets regardless of raffle result.
2) A winner will be drawn from all purchased tickets on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:00pm and the results of the drawing will be posted here.
3) The winner of the raffle has the right to reserve the “party deck” for $5000 for all three days. A general admission ticket will still have to be purchased by all spectators to enter the facility.

Best of luck to all participants!

Bumping to the top.

It is not too late to get into this drawing. These 100 party deck seats are the best in the house!

Not that it matters now, but who won this? Also, am I reading it correctly? The winner of the raffle didnt actually win the seats and party deck usage? They just won the rights to pay another 5 grand to use it?

You think so Jarrod? That seems like a terrible marketing strategy. Maybe that's why there was no winner? No chances sold?

Yep...pretty boneheaded. They say everyone has one good idea...obviously this was not mine. We were trying to get away from the auction we had done in the past and thought the raffle concept would give a couple smaller clubs the opportunity to band together to win the 100 choice seats. Our back up plan...not needed now...was to sell the seats as reserved for $25 per day...they are worth it.

Cant wait to see them next year Mark. You and the board have been very professional through this mess and I can speak for our club when I say we appreciate your work to try and move forward with the tournament.
