Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Post Topeka State open practice at Andale

Based on the below schedule for Team KS events, we will take next week (March 16-20) off from practice. We will get back after it Mon, Tues, Thursday starting Monday March 23rd. Most likely will go 6:00-7:15/7:30 and will post an official time when we get it ironed out.

Danville Illinois National dual event that Team KS is taking 2 teams to, is March 27,28,29. (2 weeks after Topeka kids' state)

Iowa Folkstyle Nationals at UNI Dome is April 2-5 (3 weeks after Topeka kids' state)

Heartland Elementary and Middle School Duals (6 ELEM teams and 6 MS teams from Team KS) is April 9,10,11 (4 weeks after Topeka Kids' state)

Taking a week off should allow kids to heal up, enjoy some time off, and re-energize for the post season.

PS We need to try to strong arm USA Wrestling to move Iowa Folkstyle Nationals and the Heartland dual event up a few weeks, so we can get in to FS Greco sooner.....

Andover is tentatively planning to host a postseason open room again this year, but only once a week. We will plan to host Wednesday night practices on the below dates. We will plan to travel to Andale twice a week as well. We will practice at the same location as last year - Andover High School wrestling room - enter through the "Gymnasium" doors.

With the cancellation of Adidas Nationals, the indefinite postponement of the Midwest Classic Nationals and the uncertainty of if we will even be able to get into the school next week, Andover will be cancelling all postseason folkstyle practice plans. Sorry for any inconvenience. Good luck to those going to Heartland - I hope the kids get to wrestle.

I'll keep ya posted on whether we can practice next week at Andale or not. As of now, Heartland Elementary and Middle School duals are a go.
Iowa Folkstyle nationals are postponed........ Hoping to get the Duals in before getting into FS GR.

Obviously with Folkstyle nationals and both dual events being cancelled, we won't be hosting any open room practices at Andale.

Hope to see some clarity on FS GR events and practice soon!!
