Shawnee Mission East, which has a good team this year, with alot of high expectations, experienced returning wrestlers and three returning SM's, went out to Colby. It was an eyeopening experience. Western Kansas teams were very impressive. We went 2-5 with a less than full squad. We held our own but got tossed around pretty good. Wrestling in the West is a religion. My vote goes to the West, even though I enjoy everything about the sport here in the East. For those that want a better impression, go to a tournament on the opposite side of the state, then you will have a better basis for your opinion, rather than just being homers.
