We are prepared to use two gyms and six mats. Need to make that call by probably Thursday, please get registered as soon as you can to help us determine number of mats and number of officials that we will need. We want to make sure we get out of therein a reasonable amount of time
Thanks

There is an open division if anyone knows college kids that want to get some Mat time. If there’s no one for them to wrestle, obviously, we will refund their entry fee.

We’re trying to be a first freestyle, Greco tournament that offers an open division, if you know any college wrestlers, or if somebody out of college is feeling froggy, wanting to wrestle, get them signed up, and if we don’t have matches for them, of course we will refund your entry fee. It would be nice to get this going, where there would be an open division at every Kansas freestyle tournament.
Thanks

To make sure we don’t keep you there all day and night, we are cutting off entries at 500 total. Good problem to have I guess, but hopefully we won’t have to turn away too many.

We have three referees that need to leave at 1 o’clock for prom. The flyer says 300 per style but we don’t want to have referees collapsing on the mat. 😂

If he hasn’t already, Joe Knecht is going to email your club instructions for entering weights on the computer. Tonight after practice would be great. If for some reason someone did not get that email by late today, go ahead and send them to that email that I posted above for Joe.
Joe.knecht@gmail.com

He would prefer that you did it online, but if an email slipped through the cracks for the instructions, sending them to Joe‘s email will work

The Brawlers would like to thank all who supported our tourney on Saturday. Thank you to the officials, tableworkers, concessions workers, grill guys, wrestlers, and parents.

We finished wrestling in the auxiliary gym at 5:00, and have a plan for 7 mats instead of 6 for next year. We are hoping we can get everyone out an hour earlier next year, and also be able to up the registration limit to 600 wrestlers.

Thanks again!
