Yes, both of the Schippers twins won. Jason, with a broken leg won at 145 1-0 over Coleman of Oberlin. Matt pinned Mellies at 152 to put Hoxie ahead of Norton up until Spriggs won in overtime at 275.

Just for your info. Despite what the brackets say on the net... both Foster boys made it to the finals.

Coach Moore, what are the wrestlers of that era 87-89 up to these days if you keep in contact with any of them ? I recall you won the 4A team titles my junior and senior years which was 87 and 88. I remember the Dongs, Dave Canfield, a Workman, and that you had a really big fella "Andre the Giant" McDaniel for a HWT back when it was Unlimited. And of course you prolly had more that are slipping my mind as it takes alot of great individuals to garner a title unless you have 3-4 finalist.

Not only were they state champions, there wasn't one loss between the both of them. Pretty outstanding.

To On the Mat:
Tony and Jon are in Salina and have a very successful restaurant business, Martinelli's Little Italy and Martini's Steak and Chop House. Damon Sterrett, Dave Canfield, Mike Hake, Jimmy Workman, and Bill Lowell all still live here and most have sons wrestling.
Andre' was in St. Louis but I am not sure if he is still there. We actually won the title in 88 and only lost to Columbus in 89 at the state tourney. Both years, we had four in the finals and one consolation wrestler, but all of the qualifiers won matches to score points.
