Yes I would Have to agree. Matt is a good wrestler and nice person. But I think that is what hurts him. And sometimes I think he wrestles not to loss, which is a good thing, but not always. Zouzas wrestles all out and he is a little stronger than Matt. And he is not affraid of anything. I think it will be a good match and I wish I could go and watch. Best of luck to both wrestlers

Yeah, the only difference is, it was Zousas's freshman year and it kept him from being a 4xer.

Well we know where Zouzas is going to college, where has Gilliland decided? What about Kriebaum as well I heard he has interest in the Air Force Academy, but you have to a lot of times send interest to a school like that or they won't even try with the talent you have.

I listened to the match on the radio and it sounded like the kind of match everyone thought it would be. I think that if these guys wrestled ten times they would probably each win five. I thought that Lucas lost his freshman year to Metler from Newton after beating him the week before at regionals. I might not have that newton kids name right but I"m pretty sure that was the case. Does anyone know any place to get the Senior Prarie Classic results from Hays? THanks

It was either Doug Hoover or Luke Metzler. I also thought is was Metzler, but on the radio they said it was Hoover. Either way, they were both studs, I personally thought the Metzler would have beat Hoover.

It was Luke Metzler who was a 3-time champ that beat Zouzas.

In 1999, Hoover and Metzler were both at 103 lbs. at the 5A State Championships. This was the year Hoover won his first of four State Championships. Metzler failed to place.

Through the years, Hoover and Metzler met many times in Kids Wrestling and at the Tulsa Nationals. Hoover dominated the series between the two. I do not recall Metzler ever gaining a victory.

After a particulary convincing (and aggressive) win by Hoover in the Semi-finals at the Tulsa Nationals in 1996 or 1997, Metzler generally stayed a weight class below Hoover.

Make no mistake, Metzler was an outstanding wrestler, however I felt it necessary to inform you of the long history between the two.
