OK, well I got a tattoo over the xmas break, and someone asked me afterwards if i had to cover it up or something for wrestling. I didnt really even think about it and ask anyone...Does anyone know about any rules for tatoos or anything? I know i saw a guy w/ two this year and i know of someone last year who had one, but I didnt know if they were supposed to cover it or something? Any help would be appreciated.

To my knowledge there are no rules related to tatoos. In the case of a new one, that has not totally healed there would be rules related to covering if they have scabs or blood. Otherwise no rules, just personal questions of appropriateness (not mine, I'm okay with them, just others).

OK...kool, thanx. I shouldnt have a problem then, cause its been a week and a half, and it never bled or scabed over(it wont if you take care of it right) and its not sore or anything any more.

I don't think that they're are any rules against tatoos. We compete in a lot of Colorado tournaments throughout the year, and it would probably be safe for me to say that more than have the athletes there have tatoos. I think you're considered pond scum or something if you don't have one. But I have also seen wrestlers in Kansas compete with them. So I wouldn't be too worried about covering it for a match. But I am sure if you did have to a coach would tell you before hand, or a referee would inform you during skin check.

I've got a tatoo my self, and I haven't had any refs or coaches make me cover it up yet. I think it's all a matter of if u want people to see it or not.

No kidding. I agree w/ bigdumbjerk. If you don't know what kind of tattoo someone has, you shouldn't go around dissin on it or anything. Take mine for example...it's the USA Wrestling symbol..do you think that's an idiotic tattoo?

My grandmother actually encouraged me to get my tatoo as she showed me her tatoo across her forearm. Of course it was hard to understand everything she said as she had her mouth full of chew.

Actually, we had a guy on our team last year with a USA Wrestling tattoo, and we made fun of him for it all the time. But that's because we're jerks.

My grandma used to chew, but now she just smokes fat stogies. She has a tattoo, but she says she can't show it to me.

Well I Remember when Grant Parker used to make fun of that tatto. The I think the guy would just remind him of the time Ian Bork made him scream like a little girl.

Do you know the difference between people who have tattoos and people who dont? People with them dont care if you dont have one. What the hell is the big deal?
