Who among our wrestling peers is going to be participating in college athletics? It does not have to be wrestling in order for you to respond.

College wrestling is something you do for fun, there really isn't anything to do after that unless you are exceptionally good. Football and Baseball though you can make a living off of.

I keep hearing and seeing information about Real Pro Wrestling at various tournaments and all. One of the latest is saying; "Coming to a telivision near you soon." Even though there is possibilities the liklihood of many wrestlers being able to make a fraction of a comprable living is slim. I believe the benefit though is that the things learned have the potential to carry wrestlers over the edge in other fields. The work ethic, etc certainly carry benefits beyond the wrestling mat.

Plus it allows for a ravenous appetite for the rest of your life. Also the incredible appreciation for food wrestling gives us.

Although I'm not going to college at all, at the time being. I do however plan on wrestling for the Marine Core, but I wouldn't expect to see me on the All-Marine team for at least a few years to come.

Technically, yes it is. BUT if u ever talk to a Marine, or any thing to do w/ the Marines, you don't normally say "Corps" you usually just say "Core". And before you ask how I would know this or if I'm sure, Yes I am sure because I am enlisted in the Marines, and do plently of talkin to them. I'm not tryin to get an attitude or anything either, if that's what it sounds like.

Isn't "corps" a French word (yeah, another of them goofy French words that has butted its way into the English language...) that is pronounced like the word "core"?

Time for the English nerd in me to come out...

corps...
pronounced 'kOr'
plural inflected form is corps (pronounced 'kOrz")
French, taken from the Latin _corpus_, meaning "body"
"an organized subdivision of the military establishment Marine Corps"

hope that settles it all.

Actually Coach Shoffner , I'm not. Unfortunatley(sp) I won't be able to try out for my base team untill the 06-07 season. I'll be in boot for this upcoming season.
