Just because I thought this lady did a great job at the state tournament and wanted to give her props. Wrestling has to be tough on women that wrestle in High School because there are alot of oppostion to it. Kate wrestled two good wrestlers this weekend and did a good job. I know she probably wanted to do better but it was a tough draw. Larsen is a strong upper body wrestler and she almost had him turned at on point but he is good. Then the Oberlin kid is nothing to shabby. Both were close matches and she earned respect from me. Never let them see your emotion

She wrestled every second of every match at regionals, I was impressed. They should call SI or USA today. I bet a bro and sis has never qaulified for state before.

I have watched Kate Hick for several years. I love to watch her wrestle because she never quits and she always gives it 110% effort. In middle school I saw her wrestle some pretty good wrestlers very tough. I am sorry I didn't get to watch her wrestle this year. She is awesome in my book.

She's a very hard working wreslter and neve gives up. How did she do at state this year though i know that she lost to larsen once but how did the rest go for her. Plus Kate Hicks is a cutie:)

Kate Hicks is awesome! It takes a lot for a girl to go out on a mat and roll around with a guy, both of them wearing singlets, in front of her peers. I know that I couldn't do it for sure. She is fun to watch because she has so much heart and determination to be "better than the boys!"

She also lost to Reichert..the freshman from Oberlin. I agree - Kate is a VERY hard worker.

First time I saw her wrestle was at the Halstead Tourney this year. She's awesome in my book! She's got guts, determination, and puts out 110%. Way to go Kate.

First time I saw Kate was when I was 13. She beat me in the Kansas Kids State Tournment. It took me over a year to get over it. Great wrestler and not bad looking either.

she wrestled for Herrington High School and I think she might be from Hope- that might be the way she wrestled at State but I am not for sure.
