I see that the Bobcat Classic has a site to keep up with the tournament. Is there anywhere to get updates for the Newton tournament?

Norton was on top when I left Carroll was in 2nd and I think Ark City was third all within 3 points but I didn't see the final tally. They were within 3 going into the semi finals.

Norton had four in the semis and sent three into the finals: Clay Madden @ 112; Lance Roe @ 152 and Michael Sprigg @ 275. Nathan Broeckelman @ 119 was beated in the semi-finals. Roe defeated an Ark City wreslter in the semifinals; other than that I do not know anything about Ark City's finalists.

This is just a guess but I think Altman & Ely are in the finals, thats only if they were on opposites sides of the bracket. They are most certainley the 2 best there

At last report from KQNK, Norton won it's only Conso Finals Match. Bishop was 1-1. It looks like it's coming down to the wire. At 112 it will be Madden and Metzler in the finals.

It looks as if The Hat is out of contention, which is quite sad. I didn't really expect them to win, seeing as how Newton is so incredibly difficult, but hopefully they wrestled well.

And just so all you naysayers know--the one year Hat Town did win Newton (by a comfortable margin, if memory serves), we got third at state. Last year I believe they finished fourth...and we all know how that ended up.

Good luck, boys. Dominate Brahm's for me.

Going into the Finals:

Norton 166.5
Bishop Carroll 162.5
Ark City 148.5
Campus 148
Clay Center 141.5

Not real sure on the Ark City, Campus Scores, but the team placings are correct.

Sprigg of Norton wins 7-5 in OT to win the championship for himself and the Norton team. Sound familiar? Second place went to Bishop Carroll
