Folkstyle National entries are due by March 26 (Wednesday). We will accept late entries, but they will be subject to a $50 late fee! This is likely the last year it will be in Kansas - don't miss this great opportunity! Kansas wrestlers should enter thru their clubs, and do not need to include copies of their USAW cards.

This year, for the first time, Cadets (born 1987-1988) are welcome at the USAW Folkstyle Nationals. In addition to our regular qualifier, Kansas Cadets can qualify for this event if they competed in their high school's Regional tournament.

Will we be able to sign up at state like last year? If, so does it require the $50.00 late fee?

All entries are due on Wednesday, March 26. You can sign up late this weekend at the Kansas Kids Folkstyle State Championships, but there will be a $50 late fee.

Mike, will you be doing any seeding? On the entry form there was no place to list record etc..

No, we are not permitted to do any seeding. The brackets are assembled by random draw, with two exceptions. All-Americans (top 6 places) from last year's USAW Folkstyle Nationals are separated, and we attempt to get kids from the same state far enough apart so that they won't wrestle too quickly.

These guidelines were established by the USAW member states at the National Kids Council meeting.

what is the age limit???

When will the brackets for the tournament be available? Will all divisions be available to view on Friday at weigh ins?

The brackets won't be prepared until after the conclusion of weigh-in. They will probably be completed sometime around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, and hopefully Kinko's will finish copying them by early Saturday so we can offer them for sale at the tournament. Thank goodness for 24 hour copying services!
