Nathan Towns--State qualifier as a sophomomore but did not wrestle last year. He has a quality win over Metcalf of Ft. Scott.

metcalf was sick that weekend, but a win is a win

Jesse Smith is not good. I question why he is even ranked.

Pietryzk (sp?) will pin his way through state. He has dominated everyone he has wrestled at 152. after that its wide open

how can you even say that someone will pin their way through state, let alone a kid who has never placed? I know hes a good wrestler, but i think he will have all he can handle at the tournament. the weight is wide open, alot of solid kids who have alot to prove.

how about dane hammet the number one seed my money is on him.

Who is Pietryzk. I have never heard of him before. What is his record and what school does he go to

Why are you dogging me Hovpen. Here I am standing up for one of your beloved Augusta kids who I think is a darn good wrestler and that is the thanks I get. What is up with that?

For those that wondered---Pietrzyk is from Salina South, he is 25 and 4, with 3 losses coming at 160. He has beaten the Smith kid from Augusta and the Jonas kid from Kapaun. He lost to Dane Hammett in state last year by one point. He is a pretty salty kid.

Who did Pietryzk loose to at 160?

ya brent lane you forgot to mention that he stuck smith (aug), johnson(man), and jonas(kap). who did he lose to at 152?

Sigh. . . who is good at 152 at 5a? Look at the polls, then throw in Towns from Great Bend and maybe Werth from Hays and it is going to be a good battle. The top 6 wrestlers listed in the polls have all had very good years, with limited losses. Those who have wrestled each other at 152 know that a move here, a call there and outcomes could have been different. Also, anyone who has been to state knows the records go out the window. Its a whole new ball game. Good luck to all!

Why didn't Pietrzyk wrestle 152 at beliot? Instead he went to 160 which was proably a easier weight class and took sixth. Corral won that weight he is alright but not great. Was he dodging someone or did he not make weight. Just interested. By the way good luck at regionals and state. No hard feelings your a good wrestler.
