The Goodland Regional is a load of crap. That is by far the toughest regional in any class, in the whole state. There will be kids who would place at state getting beat out at regionals. Who decides what teams go where anyway?

Goodland will be a outstanding reg. Some of the weights are just full of talented wrestlers.weights that should be great 112,119,125,130,152,160. I agree there will proably be some guys beat out that could place at state.

I agree that the Western Regional is going to be tough. But the regional assignments are based on proximity not popularity. Each regional is assigned a given number of teams, based on the location of the regional the closest teams go there. In the case of the Western Regional, when it was in Larned, Clearwater was closer than Abilene. Now that it is in Goodland, due to I-70 Abilene is closer than Clearwater. The same goes for others around the state. It is a tough draw, but given the limited number of 4A size schools in Western Kansas, there are very few options for regionals that have sufficient accomodations for fans. At 119, it will be extremely tough, at one time 5 different people were ranked in the top 6, someone gets to sit out state, but it can happen in other areas as well.

Valley Center is probably the toughest regional.. It sounds like all classes have lopsided regionals... will be interesting to see how the medal counts come out from each regional in state... Good luck everyone.

I would just like to add that the Sante Fe Trails regional could easily have more guys ranked at state. These are a few guys who could place at state from this regional that are not ranked: 112: Bonner---baldwin Bloodgood---Spring Hill 135: Roberts---Spring Hill 140: Roberts---Louisburg Gatlin---Anderson County Trammel---Spring Hill 145: maybe the kid from Anderson County 160: Lang---Baldwin Sheets---Chapman possible Hudgins---Spring Hill 189: maybe the Ottawa kid I fully admit that im am biased becuase i am from Spring Hill!
