Burlington High School is pleased to be hosting one of the Class 4A Regional Wrestling Tournaments. We are hoping to provide as much information as possible to the Kansas Wrestling Community. Check out our special web address for the regional tournament at: http://www.usd244ks.org/regionalwrestling/

We will be updating team scores and brackets round-by-round. We will also be posting pictures from the regional tournament as they become available. We hope that this Internet information will promote our sport in a positive way. It will allow interested fans, friends, and relatives that can not attend the Burlington Regional to keep posted on what is happening, almost live.

Please share your thoughts with us on the KWCA forum or via email to dougvanderlinden@hotmail.com. A special thanks to Craig Kuhlmann (BHS Technology Specialist) and his Technology Student Leaders for working with us on this web site!!

I agree, this is a great way to keep fans informed with the regional results. Especially relatives that live far away can follow their favorite team/kids via the internet.

Thanks Doug for all your work for Kansas wrestling. You always run great events. Our wrestlers/parents/coaches really like your JV tournament every year! There are hundreds of kids each year that are able to get the positive benefits that wrestling can provide for them b/c of the efforts of hard-working people like you.

Update on Burlington Regional Web Site:

At the Seed Meeting last night, the coaches discussed the brackets and posting them online. The consensus was that the brackets do not become official until the Coaches Meeting at 1 p.m. on Friday. As soon as that meeting is over the "final" brackets will be posted online.

I know that many of you were looking forward to seeing the brackets online today. However, after 3 hours of healthy discussion Wednesday evening, these brackets could all change based on several factors today and Friday.

We will be posting the Tournament Program online today and a few pictures also. Good Luck to all wrestlers across the state as they head into regionals this weekend!

Hey Fanatic coach Vanderlinden does not have to put the brackets on the internet but he is taking the time to run a great tournament and give a people a chance to follow it from their computers and what are you saying that you can count on Basehor for real information, Burlington has the exact same info as Basehor, Basehor doesnt have the brackets posted they just have the people names and records and so does Burlington. So next time when people are trying to help promote the sport of wrestling do not try and put them down for not getting the information out fast enough to your liking.

It seems that there's an error on the posting of the second round in 189 lb. It shows the 171 lb. bracket in that spot. Curious how Browning did in the second round? Anyone know?
