The Mid America Deadline in Council Bluffs, A Roller Tournament is this Saturday. I am sending in registrations Friday night and it would be great if we have some of us going as a team, that way we can save on the coaches pass and all. Right now I have Nate and Dante Rogers and possibly others, would love to set something up quickly though for those wanting to go. It is a great tournament and there will be a lot of good comp there. Let me know if interested, call cell phone at 316-841-5814 or email me at mike@furches.org. This is one of the last folkstyle tournaments and will be a lot of fun. Here is a link to the tournament information:

http://www.worldofwrestling-roller.com/tournaments.asp

By the way, they do have an 18 & Under division.

We still have a couple of seats left. I actually found rooms at The Days Inn in Council Bluffs for anyone wanting to stay there. I'll have or know of the following:

Dante Rogers 18 & Under 103
Aaron Sweazy Open and Real Pro Body Slammin'
Matt Mahan 18 & Under 140 pounds
Lance Peltier 6 & Under 37

Who else is going up for this tournament?

A link to entries so far is up at: http://www.worldofwrestling-roller.com/images/tournaments/mid_america_2005.pdf expect the possibility of more entries, apparently each wrestler is guaranteed at least 3-4 matches. This may mean some combined matches at other weights.

Good luck to all of the Kansas Wrestlers. It would be great if somehow we could all sit together and cheer each other on. If there are any that I have missed email me and I'll try and correct the list.

GO KANSAS!

I only know some off the top of my head:

Lance Peltier 3rd 37/6u

Jarin Brown 1st HWT/10u

Ethan Bates 2-2 (maybe 3-2) DNP (only lost to 2nd and 3rd place guys in 95lb/15u

Nathan Furches 1st 95/15u

Matt Mahan 2nd 140/18u

and finally...

Dante Rogers 1st 103/18u

Dante was also the winner of the Most Outstanding wrestler in the 18 and under division for having the most falls.

All of our wrestlers did great. There was also a number of exhibition matches for some of them where they did quite well. It was great seeing everyone and helping each other out. Would love to see some of the other results.

Last note, maybe the Swayz can tell you about some of the experiences we had over the weekend with our wrestlers and the trip.
